A man carrying a bouquet of flowers strolled into a Bronx cell phone store — shoved an employee and then ripped off $16,000 from an unlocked safe, police said.
The crook entered the Boost Mobile store on East 170th Street near Walton Avenue in Mount Eden around 12:20 p.m. Monday, carrying the yellow flowers as he approached the counter, police said.
He then put the flowers down and flashed an unknown object before demanding money and grabbing the worker, a 25-year-old woman, by the arm and neck, cops said.
He then shoved the worker into the back of the store and then removed the dough from the wide-open safe, police said.
He fled from the store, heading west on East 170th Street toward Jerome Avenue.
No injuries were reported.
