Gov. Cuomo’s daughters, sister share tweet defending him

Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s family is coming to his defense amid the state attorney general’s investigation into accusations of sexual harassment and bullying. 

Daughters Mariah and Michaela Kennedy-Cuomo — as well as the governor’s sister Maria Cuomo Cole — all retweeted a post from actor Billy Baldwin on Sunday defending the governor’s legacy and calling on critics to wait for the state to conclude its investigation into the sex-harassment allegations engulfing his administration. 

“I have known the entire Cuomo family since the 1980s. I have tremendous respect & admiration for every single one of them,” Baldwin’s tweet said.

“Don’t you think, after 40 years as a New York public servant, he deserves and has earned the right to an investigation before everybody rushes to judgment?”

Mariah, 26, and Michaela, 23, are two of Cuomo’s three daughters with Kerry Kennedy, herself the daughter of liberal icon Robert F. Kennedy.

The Post exclusively reported last year that Mariah’s twin Cara had been dating Dane Pfeiffer, a state trooper assigned to her dad’s security detail. After Gov. Cuomo learned of the relationship, Pfeiffer was transferred to a post near the Canadian border.

All three sisters were occasional guests at their dad’s Emmy award-winning COVID-19 briefings last year, often taking starring roles in the governor’s bromides.

Mariah was spotted arm-in-arm with her embattled father on Friday while he took a call outside the governor’s mansion in Albany.

Michaela, meanwhile, was a vocal advocate for survivors of sexual harassment during her time at Brown University. In 2019, she argued in a Brown Political Review essay that official sexual-assault investigations serve to defend the powers that be rather than “to decipher the truth or dole the consequences.”

The title of Michaela’s essay: “Institutional Gaslighting; Investigations to Silence the Victim and Protect the Perp.”
