A worker at a Long Island cemetery was killed early Thursday when the grave he was digging collapsed on him, police said.
Suffolk County police said the unidentified worker was “leveling out the bottom” of a grave at Washington Memorial Park in Mount Sinai when the grave gave way around 8:30 a.m.
Police said the worker was pronounced dead at the scene after cops received a 911 call.
The incident is under investigation and no further information was immediately available.
