Four men, including a father-and-son pair, were arrested in Buffalo after airport authorities found a whopping 120 pounds of marijuana stashed in their luggage, according to police and a new report.
The men — who were flying from Sacramento, California — were arrested after their American Airlines flight landed at the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport Saturday night, the Buffalo News reported.
Transit police reported receiving a tip from law enforcement in Sacramento about a possible “large amount of marijuana” on an inbound flight.
An officer responded with a K9, who sniffed out the six suspicious bags, the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority Police said.
Acting on a search warrant, officers found that the packages held marijuana worth about $400,000.
Father and son Deon Burnett, 52 and Deon Burnett Jr., 18, as well as Jacari Brooks, 18, and Kevin Tucker, 49, all of Buffalo, were taken into custody, according to the News.
Each is set to be arraigned April 6 at Cheektowaga Town Court on a charge of first-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a class C felony, the paper reported, citing the Erie County District Attorney’s Office.

“We want to acknowledge a job well done by our Detective Bureau and K9 Zev!” authorities said.
