A Bronx gunman killed one man and wounded another before he was shot himself — and left clinging to life — during a struggle with the surviving victim, according to police.
The alleged shooter, 45, approached his two victims, 33-year-old Donte Thomas and a 35-year-old man, at East Mount Eden Avenue and Jerome Avenue in Mount Eden around 8:50 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
He shot at both victims, hitting the younger man in the head and the older man in the chest, cops said.
Then, during a struggle with the 35-year-old victim, the gunman was shot in the head, police said.
Cops could not specifically say whether the victim was trying to grab the gun or how that shooting happened.
Thomas was pronounced dead and St. Barnabas Hospital, and the older man is listed in critical but stable condition at Lincoln Medical Center, police said.
The gunman also went to Lincoln, where he was still listed in critical condition Wednesday afternoon, cops said.
