Consider Russell Wilson digitally altered.
The Seattle Seahawks star quarterback left Thursday’s game against the Rams after suffering a rather gruesome-looking finger injury in the third quarter.
Wilson appeared to dislocate a finger on his right (throwing) hand on at hit by Los Angeles pass rusher Aaron Donald and it was apparently bad enough to bring in Seahawks backup Geno Smith to take over under center.
The former Jets QB found his groove quickly, throwing for his first touchdown since 2017 in relief of Wilson to cut the Rams’ lead to 16-14 — though an INT in the waning minutes of the fourth quarter sealed the Rams’ 26-17 win.
The extent of Wilson’s injury is unknown. He finished the night 11 completions on 16 attempts for 152 throwing yards and a touchdown.
