At least seven people — including two children — were injured when a vehicle plowed through an outdoor dining setup in Manhattan Friday morning, according to the FDNY.
The crash happened just after 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of E. 50th Street and Second Avenue, authorities said.
Videos on Citizen app show a smashed-up sedan and van, with debris scattered around the intersection as fire and police responded.
Police said a driver was taken into custody and may have been under the influence.
The FDNY said seven people — five adults and two kids — were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
No one was in the outdoor dining area at the time of the crash, police said.
