Move over Staten Island Chuck: Winter is meeting an early end with Sports Illustrated’s peek at this year’s bathing beauties.

The mag teased several of their latest lineup of models for the issue, due out July 20.

Models include everyone from a pandemic nurse to a social media influencer, and range broadly in age, size and background.

Every day this month, Sports Illustrated will introduce the world to another model ahead of the issue’s full release.

But ahead of the rollout, here’s a look at a few of the stars of this year’s edition.

Tanaye White

The 29-year-old Georgetown University grad was the winner of the 2020 #SISwimSearch, and has gone on to land a coveted “rookie” spot in the mag this year.

In November 2019, she quit her job in the defense and aerospace industry to pursue her dream of modeling. And the world was ready.

“I prayed so hard for this and if anything, this shows working hard and speaking things into existence is the key to achieving anything you desire,” she told the Daily Mail last year. “I feel like I’m on cloud 9! I never want this feeling to end.”

She’s back, baby! Danielle Herrington, 27, graced the cover of the 2018 swimsuit issue and has returned with a new look. The Compton, California-native said she hoped to wear her hair in braids, a style she said hasn’t been accepted throughout her modeling career.

“We immediately said yes and she showed up on set as the most confident, vibrant and happiest version of herself!,” said SI Swimsuit editor MJ Day.

Curvy model Marquita Pring, 30, from Albany, New York is another familiar face. The model appeared in last year’s edition as a rookie — but she’s a seasoned pro, having appeared everywhere from Vogue Italia to Levi Strauss & Co.

“Her voice is powerful, and it is an important one for the world to hear,” Day said. “She represents so many different types of women and we are incredibly lucky to be a part of her story.”

Victoria’s Secret angel Lais Ribeiro, 30, could just be one of the hardest-working models in the biz. In addition to appearing in the famous (and infamous) lingerie fashion show, the mom from Brazil also worked the runways for Carolina Herrera, Diane von Furstenberg, Zac Posen, Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang and Michael Kors. She also uses her platform for important causes, including the Me Too movement and activism targeting police brutality.

“I am a public person, not just in Brazil, but in the whole world, and I want to use whatever notoriety or fame that I have for good,” she told The Post in 2018. “Whatever I do, I am always conscious that I could be doing a lot more.”

Former Miss Minnesota Teen USA 2010 and Miss Minnesota USA 2014 Minnesota native Haley Kalil, 28, is returning to the pages of Sports Illustrated.

The St. Cloud State University grad volunteered at a local hospital and in an immunology lab during school and started #NerdHerd, “a social media movement for women to showcase the multidimensional nature of womanhood — simultaneously embracing one’s body and one’s mind while still demanding respect,” Day said.

Emily DiDonato

Emily DiDonato, 30, is no stranger to the pages of SI. The model appeared in the swimsuit edition in 2013 and again in 2020. The New York state native is the face of Maybelline and also has a YouTube channel, where she shares workouts, beauty tips and lifestyle tips.

Maggie Rawlins

Registered nurse Maggie Rawlins put her modeling career on pause to pitch in amid the COVID-19 pandemic. And now she’s getting the star treatment for it.

Rawlins was scouted while working as a nurse in Charleston, and decided to pursue a second career in fashion; she later landed shoots with Love Magazine and Elle Croatia as well as ad work, according to her bio on the SI Swim website.

But when the coronavirus crisis began, she returned to her healthcare roots, working at NYC hospitals as well as volunteering as a One World Health ambassador to help bring affordable medical care to underserved communities.

“I feel like everyone has a role and responsibility to play during the pandemic,” Rawlins told People. “Since I have an active nursing license, I felt like [going back to nursing] was the right thing to do. Additionally, it was in New York City … That city has been so good to me, and I wanted to give back.”

Kate Bock

She’s a veteran! The 33-year-old Canadian model engaged to NBA star Kevin Love is a fixture in the issue, having appeared in a whopping eight spreads for the swimsuit edition.

“This unprecedented year has made me even more grateful for every opportunity in my life with @si_swimsuit right at the top of the list,” she wrote on Instagram when the mag revealed her reappearance in this year’s issue. “I’m dreaming from my apartment in sweatpants of being that girl on the beach right now.”

The 24-year-old Vernon Hills, Illinois native, who is also Head of Brand for the new social app Dispo, is the first rookie to be named for 2021.

Known to most as the assistant to influencer David Dobrik, she’s now making a name for herself, Day said.

“She recognizes the importance of changing the industry, using her following and her notoriety to help others. She has created her own success story through her entrepreneurial spirit, business acumen and relatable mentality.”
