When do the Lakers play next? Upcoming schedule, TV channels, how to stream



Three games into the 2021-22 season and the star-studded Lakers are off to a 1-2 start, coming off their most recent home win against the Memphis Grizzlies. 

Their season tipped off with a 121-114 loss to Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. Three days later, they fell to the Phoenix Suns, the reigning Western Conference Champions, 115-105 during which they trailed at one point by 32.

It came right down to the wire against the Grizzlies on Sunday (ET) before they escaped with a 121-118 win — their first of the season.

After playing three games in the league’s first week, the Lakers play eight over the next fortnight. Here’s some information regarding those upcoming games.

When do the Lakers play next?

After their game against the Grizzlies at STAPLES Center, the Lakers head out for a short trip with two games in two nights at San Antonio (Oct. 26) and Oklahoma City (Oct. 27).

This will be the first road games of the season for the Lakers. The last two seasons, the LA franchise has begun strong on the road.

Last season, as the defending champions, the Lakers tipped off the 2020-21 season by winning their first 10 road games. The year prior, the season they won the championship, they won 14 straight games outside Los Angeles.  

After this short road trip, they return to Los Angeles to play nine of their next 10 games at home.

How to watch Lakers games? 

Of the team’s 10 upcoming games, three will be nationally televised. For the entire season, the franchise leads the league with 42 games set to be broadcasted on ABC, TNT, ESPN and NBA TV

Of the Lakers’ three upcoming nationally televised games, two are on NBA TV (at Trail Blazers, vs. Hornets) and the other one – home encounter against the Miami Heat – is on ESPN. 

National TV games on ESPN, TNT and NBA TV are carried on a number of streaming services including fuboTV,  SlingTV, YouTube TV and Hulu+ Live Sports. 

Regionally, the games will be broadcast on Spectrum SportsNet, which is also carried by fuboTV.


Outside the regional market, NBA League Pass is the option to go for. There are a variety of subscription options with League Pass including a full season package which includes every game live outside of your local market.

Alternatively, you can choose a one-team pass that allows you to catch Lakers games.
